Super thank you to Maryse Roudier for designing the Go-go granny. Without her, I wouldn’t have this, and while I am sure some people will be appalled at what I have done, I absolutely love it. :)
You can read about my crochet adventures with this pattern and the resulting dress at my blog
I saw this and had to have my own.
I am making it for Halloween so I can go as a Josef Albers’ color study. I am using Red Heart Super Saver yarn. I was unable to get the gauge with five rounds, but got it perfectly with four, that that is what I am going to do. No doubt I will end up modifying it in other ways as I go forward, but I wanted this dress in the worst way after I saw it, so I am happy to be started on it.

I put most of my crochet energy into a camo circle jacket for a friend from high school who had a brush with death as a result of a difficult surgery and who is now facing chemo and radiation. The upshot is that I didn’t get the dress done, but yesterday, I did finish two more squares. I have no idea what occasion I will wear it for, but I am trying to plug ahead despite no longer having a specific goal.
