This was a project knit for my fabulous LYS. Heather wanted a lace shawl and gave me the freedom to choose the pattern and the fiber.

Choose this pattern because I’ve done it a few times and it is a wonderful introduction to Estonian lace, available for free and a beauty when blocked. Love this pattern!

Choose the Drops Alpaca because it is one of my favourite yarns, affordable, stunning colour and a great hand. It is also warm, blocks out beautifully and holds the block. And it’s super soft alpaca, what more could you ask for in a heavy (fingering/sport weight) shawl yarn.

The pictures don’t capture all the detail because the wind was blowing like crazy.
