What else do you do when you have yarn left over? Knit a coordinating hat.
My gauge is larger than the yarn called for in the pattern, so I did some basic math and determined that the correct brim size was the second size in the pattern, and I followed the length directions for the original size. Make sense?
I used the 11 x 11 stitch snowflake because it looks like a slightly smaller version of the one I put on the Elsa Cardigan, which I thought would fit better on the hat.
Materials that aren’t yarn:
Beads: Seed bead, Delica®, glass, silver-lined crystal, (DBL41), #8 round. I ordered a million of them because I wasn’t sure how many I would want to include. (More is always better.)
Oral B Superfloss for applying the beads, using the brilliant Rosemary Hill’s tutorial.
Matching stitch markers.
