Notes

An autumn treat for me. Fingerless gloves are a must for a photographer in the fall! Hope I can get these done before the snow flies.

I think I would have been a lot happier with size 8 needles instead of size 9. Won’t be able to get out to the yarn store any time soon, so I went ahead with the size 9 I had and am trying to knit super-extra tight to make up for it. The larger needles may be contributing to a more stretchy fabric?

Also working hard against ladders and loose stitches where I change needles.

The closer I got to the end, the less I liked the look of some of my rows, so I pulled out one entire repetition of the cable pattern plus a bit more (about 20 rows) and astonished myself by being able to thread everything back onto the needles. Really struggling with fat loops hanging off the end row of one of the needles, where I start a new row with purls.

Really struggled with loose stitches and ladders, so the end product is a little lumpy, but this was an easy fun pattern to follow. Next time I’ll drop down a size or two needles, but oh how I LOVED this Malabrigo Rios yarn. SO beautiful.
