All done! I could have given myself a few more inches of length and still have had enough yarn, but this length is the same as in the sample, so I am satisfied.
After sewing the i-cord into a figureeight, I sewed it to the sweater on one side. The pattern does not say to sew the i-cord to the sweater in any way. But I just pictured myself crawling around on my hands and knees searching for the i-cord, and I knew tacking it in place was the Thing to Do.

Wet-blocking. Impatiently. Hullo, Dryer Rack!

After a crippling sleep-induced back injury prevented me from knitting for several days, I was able to finish the last bit of ribbing. I increased the length of my Goodale from 8” to 12.5”. This is because my torso is so freaking long. It will still be cropped, and (on me) it will look as if it is the same length as the sample.
Tonight I get to (yay) block this sweater. Then when it is dry, I can do the thing with the pockets. Maybe I will just steam…I don’t want to pick through the stash for another project tonight.

Instead of waiting to finish the body, I grabbed the other end of my center-pull ball and knit both sleeves. I’ll finish the ball knitting the body, then start ball number three and finish off the sweater. I’m hoping I can make the sweater a bit longer. We all know I need it.

Joyfully put the sleeve stitches on waste yarn today. I did it at night at a bonfire with only my cell phone light to help me thread the needle. Then, in the dark, I cast on six stitches for each underarm and proceeded. I think I deserve some kind of medal for that.
Week One
Have you ever noticed how yoke-down sweaters lead to extreme feelings of depression and self-loathing? No? Just me.
Yoke took one entire ball of Tosh Sport. Trying not to freak out.
