I started this hat because I had so much yarn leftover from another project and I hated it to go to waste! Turns out…I still have more yarn leftover…and I think I like this “leftover” project better than the original one!!! Such a fun and easy knit…and I know that I’ll use the hat a ton!

Absolutely perfect name for this hat…knit night…because it really is a great traveling project that doesn’t require much brain power…

The pattern says to knit until you’ve reached 8” from the cast-on edge. I knit about 7” because I was worried I would run out of yarn. As it turned out, I would have had plenty, but I’m still very happy with the amount of “slouch” in this hat, and actually think that I wouldn’t have been happy if it had been more slouchy. If I knit this again, I also would go down to a size 5 needle for the brim…to make it a bit tighter.
