UPDATE September 2, 2011 - last night we had a final photo shot with our beloved blanket. And it’s secret was revealed… the whole time we were working on this blanket Sherri (our good friend and owner of The Yarn Corner) thought this blanket would be going to the Friendship House as a gift for a baby or child. When in truth the blanket was for her. Sherri has been through a very long year, with lots of ups and downs… she was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2010. They just finished poisioning her a little more than a month ago. She still has another surgery ahead of her and we wanted her to know how much she is loved and this blanket will be like all of us wrapping her up in a big hug.

The gang from The Yarn Corner started this blanket in 2010… I can’t even remember when, I think late summer.

We are passing the blanket from person to person and each one of us is using the sock yarn that we want to use.

Instead of a 10-stitch it is a 25-stitch.

It’s a blanket of love for sure.
