I love the look of this pattern!
As you can see from the photos, I put a strap in the back with a button so that the slipper can stay on the babies foot. The original pattern did not call for the strap in the back. I will try to write the back strap pattern up and add it to a future instructable.
I also did not do the final round as the pattern called for by sc the two halves together for the bottom. I whip stitched the bottom two pieces, back sides facing each other. The result was a smaller sandal.
It’s the perfect summer shoe for the newborn baby girl! I already have a request from someone else to make them again!
I gave the pattern a four-star rating because you need to “wing-it” when it comes to attaching the strap to the sandal. But any experienced crocheter should be able to do this pattern and have it come out looking like the cute little sandals in the photos!
