I have been on the yarn diet since November of 2015!!! I cannot believe it myself that I did not buy any yarn. I am trying to make it 1 year without yarn purchasing. So, I was so trilled to have been gifted this amazing single ply merino from sparkstorystudio. two_heartstwo_heartstwo_hearts Thank you so much Joyce for the yarn tuliptuliptulip The colorways are just exceptional. I must add that the lighter colorway, called Atelier, is like no other I have seen before. Absolutely stunning!!! New shawl design is in the works.
I have not knitted much for the past few months. I was busy with travel and family illnesses and frankly did not have much desire for it. The pattern writing and publishing I think drained me somewhat from any desire to knit. Everyone needs a break even from most loved hobbies. After receiving this yarn few days ago I felt inspired and was knitting little samples today and thinking about new design. I am very excited to start new project with these beauties!

As some of you might know, as of Fall 2016 I went back to college to start working towards my second Master’s. It has been more than 10 years since the last time I was in college and I was a little worried how it is going to go. So far so good :-))) but I am very very busy with my classes. No time left for a lot of things, knitting and Ravelry included. I miss knitting. From September to now I did not knit at all.
Now, I finally have a break from school until the end of January and will have some time to work on this design. :-) I hope I can finish everything and write the pattern before my classes resume.

I think most of you have forgotten that I do knit ;-) It has been very long time since I shared any new projects. Going to college again does not leave me much time to knit and even less time to write patterns. This new design is called Between Seasons. The wonderful single ply merino is from sparkstorystudio yarn. The scarf was finished back in January, but the pattern only now. purple_heartyellow_heartpurple_heartyellow_heart The scarf is knitted in two colors simultaneously. I thought it would be fun to design something like that for those random skeins of yarn people usually have in their stash and do not know what to do with and are not big fans of stripes like myself. The colors are changed in the middle with a simple trick. Also, the idea was that the same scarf can be worn in several different ways. If you fold it along the middle you can have a purple scarf or white one depending on which side is up. You can also wear it with both colors showing as a scarf or a stole. :-) The pattern will be published soon ;-) Happy knitting!
