I am hosting a knit-a-long for the Sunshine Daisy Collection (that includes 2 shawls and a cowl) in Sunny with a Chance of Knitting group. I hope you will join us :-) The KAL will run until July 4th. The thread for KAL is here:

This is going to be a stole version of the cowl.
I have wanted to make a black stole//scar for a while now. I am going to combine different ColourMart lace weights to make my own yarn mix. The resulting fiber content will be: alpaca/merino/cashmere/silk. I have knitted a little swatch and LOVE the resulting fabric. Feels luxurious :-)

I love how the stole coming out. The yarn color has some grey in it due to silk yarn being not a true black. I love that effect. It gives more depth and interest to the knitted fabric. The true color is in the picture with a chair :-)

I am almost 5 repeats in. I think I need 7 for a good length scarf.

I did 7 repeats and finished off with 3rows of garter st. BO purlwise on RS with US6.

My dress form broke ;-( Took some pictures on the wall, but not that happy with them. Black is so hard to photograph indoors. Out of my so-so pictures of the scarf, I do like a few. The one with the lace traced on the wall especially. Geometrical patterns make gorgeous silhouettes on the wall when the sun shines just the right way. Hopefully will take some pictures of the scarf on me later today.

note: cash/merino was used doubled
