New socks for my daughter :-)
Great pattern. Very easy and enjoyable to knit :-)
CO 60 sts as in the pattern.

My first time knitting with this yarn. I am in love :-) It is like knitting with velvet, but this velvet has some spring to it and bounce. Will see how it behaves after washing and wearing, but so far I am impressed. Great fiber content for warmer climates as ours and for warmer weather if you live in cold climate.

Pattern knitted as written except:

  • before heal flap knitted 7 chart repeats
  • for the foot part knitted 6 chart repeats
  • gauge after blocking is 35 sts x 50 rows in 10cmx10cm
  • was knitted to fit shoes size US 6.5 loosely

The socks are a little too loose for my daughter and fit me perfectly (US8) as seen in pics, but she wanted a loose fit for these socks so she can wear them for more years as her feet grow. She is very happy with the socks and I am too :))) Now on to knit my son a pair ;-))
