11shawls2011 #2

02.22.11. The shawl is done :-)))))) It is blocking now and I just very happy the way everything worked out in this project. It was a very spontaneous project. I just came across a lace pattern I liked and wanted to use it in the shawl right away. I had to change the pattern somewhat to make it fit into the shawl format. I had no idea what to do for the border, but by the time I knitted to that point I new more or less what I wanted and made a chart for it on the paper, but it proved to be challenging and I had to work on the border some more to make it work. I am very happy with the way border flows from the body of the shawl :-)) Also, the construction of the shawl is modular, so it can easily be made in different sizes :-))
