notes to self:

CO 103 for the back for the X-SM size.
Gauge 18 sts in 4 inch unblocked.
Lower back measures 21.5 inch.
Switched to US 3 needles at 10.5 inches (5.5 repeats) from turning row.
Started to shape armholes at 7.5 repeats from turning row.
Neck decreases started in the next RS row after last armhole decrease when there are 38 sts.

01.09.11. I have knitted one pocket for the left front panel. It was fun to knit, but took longer then expected and the packet took one whole ball of yarn!!!

01.17.11 Switched to smaller needles after 2.5 repeats for sleeves. Started to shape sleeve after 3.5 repeats.

01.19.11 Started to shape cap after 8 repeats.

01.25.11. I just finished my cardi :-))) So, so happy with the way it turned out. I did not have much time for knitting this month, so the project took almost a month to finish, but it was all worth it. The pattern is wonderfully written. Very clear directions. The incorporation of lace pattern in shaping of the cardi is not spelled out, but it is pretty easy to make adjustments to the lace chart to preserve the appearance of the lace and to avoid too much st.st. along the seams. I also skipped on the eyelets along the collar. They did not look right to me.
The yarn is very soft and silky. After reading a lot on Ravelry that this yarn peels, I choose this pattern for it, hopping that all the lace will hide any peeling. Time will show how this yarn will behave :-)) I also think that this yarn is too soft to knit ribbing. It looks OK, but I think less delicate yarn would keep the ribbing in better shape and make attaching buttons a little easier :-)))
