Coldplay “Yellow”

Knitting with 2 strands held together.

02.07.11 The sweater is done :-)) and it is so adorable ;-))) The yarn is extremely soft and feels pleasant to the skin. I loved every minute knitting it :-)) Lovely, easy and original pattern.
This was my first Nora Gaughan pattern and defiantly not the last :-))
Gauge after blocking: 14 st x 22 row in 4x4 inch in St. st.
For the body CO 63 for size 38. Instructions were very easy to follow, except for the neck decrease part I ended up with less sts then in the pattern. I think there is some kind of miscalculation in the pattern for the size 38, but I just finished with the sts I had. It seems fine this way, so I did not bother if there is an error or not.
For the sleeves CO for the size 38 also at first. Knitted one sleeve, but it felt too tight, so I CO 35 for the size 46 and it fits fine now.
Finishing was easy for the most part, except there is not much of a border on the sides of the lace insert that has to be sewn to the sleeves, so I had to be creative and not to leave any holes in the seams.
I must say, that the insert was fun to knit and very easy :-))
