This design will be published mid October. I have made the original Solanum shawl in dark purple and medium size. Love this shawl a lot and wanted another one :))) I want to make my second Solanum shawl in light color and bigger size. I am using light grey cashmere from the set for the body and most of the border and dark grey for the accent rows. Yarn held double. The yarn feels like a fluffy cloud and it has not been washed yet :-)) So lovely :))

Solanum is a large and diverse genus of flowering plants, including eggplant.
I am very exited to finally being able to show Solanum shawl design. It is hard to keep it a secret for so long :))
“Solanum” is my design for an EBook collaboration project with wonderful designers Lisa Risager , Boadicea Binnerts , Anna Kuduja, Judy Brien and Brenda Burrell.
The EBook is called “The Artemis Adornments Autumn Accessories collection” and it will be published on Ravelry in a day or two. More on the EBook and Artemis Adornments group can be found here.
“Solanum” is an airy lace shawl with beautiful and intricate border. The shawl is seamless and knitted top-down from the central neck stitches to the edge and has crescent shape. The shawl can be finished with a picot BO if desired. Instructions for an alternative beaded picot BO are also included in the pattern. Solanum shawl can be knitted in one color or two colors with a contrasting color accentuating the wavy shape of the lace pattern and the delicate picot BO.
