OMG, shawl #12 this year!!! It is only July ;-) Well, you can never have too many shawls :)

I thought about this shawl and what yarn to use for it during 4hrs long insomnia last night ;-)
Very simple, relaxing knitting. I only had a general idea for this design and I add some changes and details as I knit. Kind of free form knitting :-)
I love the knitted fabric and the periwinkle colorway resulting from combining all these lace weights together. Also, this is the second time I am combing linen with merino and in this case also with alpaca/cashmere and silk. I absolutely love the feel of the fabric and the structure linen gives to merino, while merino and other yarns give the fabric softness. Note to self: buy more linen in other colors ;-)

Love this shawl :-) It came out large, modern and elegant. The edging looks like a grid and I love it. The shawl has bottom up construction, so you just BO when you want. I enjoyed knitting this shawl: easy and relaxing :-)
