I think I knit the shoulders three times overall, working out the descent and then realizing I’d mistaken the number of straight rows before short rows. Finally knitting down and went for the garter switch in the center.

Finished garment photos is not the moment to find you’ve dropped a stitch when picking up the provisional cast on. Argh.

Meanwhile, the edgings went nicely, though I found I had to go right to the edge of the fabric, at the half stitch, for pick up or the inside selvedge was too noticeable. The sleeves as written are much to tight. After experimenting I was happy with this pick up pattern: 1, sk1, 2, sk1.
