I went a size bigger with the needles on this because the yarn is a bit thicker than I would normally use for lace. Also, my past two lace projects have disappointed me in terms of their completed size. They blocked out much smaller than I anticipated. We’ll see how this goes…So far, so good.

3-4-2011 Blocking and photo session complete. WOW! I’m really please with the way this turned out. I just wish the pictures would show the lovely metallic of the yarn.

I only have one suggestion to others that may be thinking about this project. Use markers to separate the repeats. It really made a difference when the rows grew to over 400 stitches!
