I used scrap ends of yarn so didn’t have a lot of yardage. Since this was for a newborn, I made it smaller started wth ch 16 and only worked 2 increase rows.

I decided to use a button closure, but didn’t want the button at the back. i sewed it to the wrong side at the top left and made one strap, decreasing from 6 stitches to 4 stitches.

After reaching an appropriate length, I crocheted 2tog twice (2 stitches). Next row I crochet 2 stitches tog. Then I worked 3 rows of ch 3, turn, dc in stitch for button loops. This made the strap adjustable.
