Test Thread

I made a swatch (kind-of: it was only 18 stitches and a few rows long) just big enough to get a feel that I was in the ball park with gauge. The scarf is only one repeat wide, and I wanted it to be at least 6” wide.

Bottom border
5 rows of bottom border took 8 minutes (using a stop watch.) Rounding off to 15 rows 3-5r repeats x 8 minutes = 24 min./repeat.
24 x 5 repeats = 120 min + 16 min for rows 1-10 = approximately 136 minutes

Middle section
About 165 min

Top border
About 90 min

Total 391 minutes/60= 6.5 hours
