Notes

all in all : after blinging out this bonnet with a woolly tattoo i can see i was inspired by the hat’s landscape feel with the way the yarn knitted up. i was inspired by the sea and lichen growing on the rocks, hence a rather dense heavily embroidered cluster of yarny goodness appeared. the lighting when i took the final photos of it certainly add to the feeling.

for this bonnet i am holding two yarns together. it appears to be looking like a landscape painting. this is for our hatty new year KAL i am doing alongside of the peachy Spincycle Spinsters.

hurrah hooray! my hattynewyear bonnet is all ready for some woollytattoo bling.
here is how i made my yarn ribbon and other bits of nitty gritty…

i only did seven sets of eyelets

i held one skien of Dyed in the Wool with a fingering weight Isager to create a marled affect

for yarn ribbon: chain 65 + 1 using a hook suitable for your yarn weight. i used a 5.5. SC into 2nd chain from hook, SC into every chain to end, finish off and weave in ends (US crochet terminology). thread through eyelets, pull to gather hat and tie in a bow.
