Notes

I thought I read the pattern through but missed seeing the last pic showing the half collar but I followed the pattern & it collar came out great.

I did the shaping above t-rex even though I thought it was silly for 6-9 mo old baby. I won’t be doing anymore shaping as I read in other reviews.

The chart is great!! It was a bit of a slog to get through but when I was finished, I thought I was brilliant! Even with a mistake here and there which probably won’t block out because 70% cotton, oh well. I am a “hold the needles in a death grip” type of knitter so I went up a needle size to US8.

I followed directions to separate the sleeves but did not cut yarn (don’t ask why, I just couldn’t). I knitted the sleeves off onto a small cable which I capped.

This is a cute sweater but I wasn’t happy that I could see every increase, shaping and mistake I made. I think my sweater is a bit messy. Could be the cotton/Linen blend or the shaping or I just wanted to finish it before the baby got too too big for the sweater. I’d love to try it again using wool and a light trex with dark background.
