I knit tight so my gauge was off but still it was HUGE. So, after much experimenting, I decreased by 24 st to 80 st using http://www.thedietdiary.com/knittingfiend/tools/EvenlySpa...
I changed from size US7 needle to size US3 to do 2x2 ribbing & did 15 rows of ribbing. The bind off was too TIGHT… Urgh. So I changed back to size US7 needles knit 1 row. I bound off using Jenny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-off as taught to me by Cat Bordhi’s YouTube video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abBhe-JYmgI

Now I have a great hat!
