We had our official photo shoot this weekend. I had contacted some local photographers, but the prices they wanted to carry out my vision (and I had given then a limited vision to save money) was a crazy amount of money that I just can’t afford. This is a hobby for me, and I don’t think they got that-they all wanted to charge me a crazy business price.

So, I went to my daughter with my vision. She is 16. I told her what I wanted and she helped me find an outfit at a thrift store, did my make up, and took all the photos. It was hard for me giving up the power, but she really wanted to run with it so I let her. I am so proud of how well she did. It turned out into an amazing bonding time, and I shall always carry this day in my heart and soul. It shall forever be one of my favorite memories with my Sweet Sunshine Girl, Celeste.

I am ready to release this pattern, I am only waiting on one small portion to finish the testing phase, and I want to just jump right to the release. The waiting is slow torture!

My joy in publishing this pattern has been crushed by the fact that these images have offended a few people. I am deeply saddened by this fact, and part of me wants to remove them all but the other part of me is saying to hold firm to my vision and be strong. I know not all art is for everyone, but my soul, joyous only a few hours before, is now clouded in sadness, confusion and indecision. I apologize is you are offended, however, at this time, I am going to hold firm to my and my precious daughter’s vision. No ill intent was meant, quite the opposite, and because of that fact alone I am trying very hard to stand firm. All I can say is if they bother you, then you don’t understand them. I do explain everything in my blog, and hopefully, if you were offended, after reading, you will be at peace with them. I would also like to add, that my grammy, the one that taught me to crochet HATES all things gore and she loved my images.
