Ok, so there are a few mistakes/omissions in this pattern…so if you get to a point where you are a bit confused…just sort of fudge your way to the next round and you should be fine. It’s pretty forgiving…There are more errors, I didn’t write them all down-I didn’t realize it was going to be an ongoing issue so I ignored the first few… i gave it a 5-star rating in spite of the errors because it is a really cute pattern, generously given for free and the errors are really minimal-any seasoned crocheter should be fine with it. I gave it a medium rating for that reason though…

For my eyes I used hobby lobby’s baby yarn (since my yarn was a lot thicker than what was called for)…

Horns (this was my change-not an error in pattern)
add on:
r5: sc6
r6, inc, sc2 x2
r7: sc9

Arms: This is where it got really weird
on round 4 we finish the round with 12 sc (plus the three sc and three popcorn the total stitches should be 18)…but the next round says to SC 12 around…without any mention of a decrease…BUT I didn’t notice that until round 10 so I put the six decreases evenly around on that round instead of doing the fpsc (I still fail to see why we would do that).

Belly applique: round 3 should be sc8 (instead of sc7) round 4 should say inc1 instead of in1 (that should be obvious-but just in case I’m including it)

Then I modified the belly applique as well, as I didn’t like how it looked in the photos…I did rsc around the belly applique using the main color of my dragon…I then sewed the applique on with that main color…I prefer that look better.

To get a better spine ridge line I just used the color yarn I was going to use for the spine ridge and basted the line on with big stitches. Way better than trusting myself with a sharpie on yarn haha!

If I was to do this again, I would complete the head, sew it closed and then make the body and then attach the two, as the head is rather floppy this way…BUT if you put the stuffing in correctly it does help, but the little sucker does want to keep looking down at that angle…which is really cute…but doesn’t give you any other options.

This little dragon is the cutest thing ever! Oh my goodness! I had planned on putting him in my Etsy shop, I figured Dragonbird Creations needs to have a dragon in the shop, right??!!! OMG I wasn’t prepared for the cuteness!! I’m keeping it as my mascot! bahaha! This silly little thing caused me a lack of sleep last night! I made the mistake of sewing on the eyes before I had finished her spine ridges and wings…those EYES stared at me saying, “Please finish me!” Sooooo I spent another hour finishing her up so she could stop looking at me that way!!
