CO=Cast OFF (got a little confused-I thought I was supposed to cast on-but luckily I pondered for a few moments and read ahead where it says to m8-so it clicked).
The second eyebrow got a little confusing-It said to k across-but then it says to leave the last stitch on a holder-I combined those two into one direction. Should be OK.
Future mods:
Side ribbing (when working forehead-also pick up six stitches on each side to avoid the side ribbing portion)
I will do two rows for the eyes on scrap yarn-and pick up two on either side (as in the horns) just to make the openings a bit wider-I like how they look as is, but I have to pry them open.
My head is small-so if the next one is for me, I will use less rows between nose and eyes.
4-27-15: This thing has intrigued me for a while. My mom is TERRIFIED of it-which makes me want to make it even more….This is such a brilliant design, I’m most excited to get it done! :)
blog post by designer to help.
I had a little confusion with the side ribbing. It mentioned to look at photos for help-but didn’t really see anything that helped. I’m almost 100% sure I did it wrong, but I can always frog it if I happen to figure out what I did. I fired off a message to the designer, hope I hear back…I’ve read through notes and also the blog post but haven’t figured out what on earth I’m supposed to do. It just seems weird when I could have picked those stitches up and knitted them when I did the forehead…When sewing the back to the front-do NOT sew the side rib to the back-that will be sewn onto the ears.
Regarding my star rating-this, normally, would be a four star pattern, since I did have a bit of confusion. BUT It is genius-so it gets a bonus star-AND the wonderful designer did answer my question, so it deserves every single star. GREAT design
Had only a teensy bit of a brand new skein to spare. Perfect!
