This is working up very quickly. I had some issue with the underarms (this is my first sweater so I think some assumptions may have been made when the pattern was written). I didn’t understand why we needed a fsc, but after scrolling through her comments she explains that that will make a nice capped sleeve. So I diligently went back to work and did exactly as she said following the stitch markers and it is coming along nicely I think, though, that for my personal size, the next time I do this I will skip those fsc all together because it fits a little more snugly without them. I guess I’m thinner than I thought? (I’ll pretend that this is the case instead of the fact that I could be doing it wrong bahaha!)
I did not turn after each round, but that means I had to really pay attention to the pattern and had to refigure where the increases at the top went, but that wasn’t too tricky.
When I started working on the body portion the first 3 rounds were dedicated to putting some decreases in the sides-basically by the end of the 3rd round I had gotten rid of a whole point (which in the future will not be necessary because I will cut out the fsc for armpits)
I am making mine to fit 33” and I find that 11 rows were almost enough but 12 rows did just the thing-I HATE things digging into my arms. Upon further reflection and completing this, I may jsut try 11 rows next time, it seems to have too much ‘room’ in the upper part….
Overall I LOVE this pattern!
Day 2: I am halfway done and I have not been able to stop thinking about this sweater. I cannot wait to pound it out today!! I’m meeting grandma for Chinese lunch today and if I get cracking I can wear my new sweater!
