I didn’t want to spend another fortune on fancy schmancy yarn. So I am modifying the pattern to work with this one. H hook, Serenity Garden (it isn’t sport like it says up there it didn’t give me an option) it is Deborah Norville Collection and the yarn symbol has a ‘2;)….I am trying to keep it in the same dimensions as the small size…So far it seems that I will be able to get this to work. Fingers crossed. If it DOES, another upside is that it is even faster going than the other, thinner, yarn.
4-22: I have the back finished and I’m very pleased with it.
later that day: DONE! I am very very happy with this. I used 2.5 skeins of yarn (had more than enough for a headband). I love how the neck fits much better for my personal taste. The main thing to remember, if you are going to modify the pattern to use this yarn, this one does not have much give…you will need to allow for this when you chose your fsc at the beginning. Mine fits rather snuggly around my hips, I should have maybe even started with a few more fsc, and then made some decreases in round 5….Even with this minor issue it still fits and I love it-and these colors POP!

4-23: made a matching headband. :)
