Ok, trying to think of a name for this one…I’m having a major brain fart…but for now I’m giving it a generic one. SO glad that it blocked nicely (except the neckline-I don’t have a fancy schmancy wire and I think I’m going to change it from a garter stitch to something more decorative.).
I don’t always wake up and paint my face this way, but when I do my kids don’t bat an eye. They make it seem like this is an every day occurrence! haha!
I’ll still need to get this tested…
A hint you say? It teeters on the edge of girly and tough girly…. La Catrina
Now it says it is sport, but it feels more like my fingering. Potato Pohtahto
I started in a lovely merino…but wasn’t fond of the shade with this pattern…I then figured summer is coming and this could work at the beach also in this yarn. Had to tweak the pattern three times…this is my fourth go at it and now I’m happy with the progress. I’ve gotten through 2/3 of it and cannot wait to start the last journey of it to see how it is all finished! :)
My MAIN issue with this yarn is that it splits-the pretty shiny thread splits from the rest…PLUS it is really heavy and it is starting to hurt my thumb. I’ve gotten all the kinks worked out of the edging -the last tweak has been made to the pattern now it is a matter of finishing off the prototype. I had to do a major overhaul of my original vision though, as what I WANTED to do, just wasn’t attainable. Sometimes, I dream a little too big. :)
