This sucker is reversible and is written in a way so that anyone who is an experienced knitter (even without entrelac) experience should be able to knit this. I’ve also made the pattern in a way so that it can be made into an afghan or smaller scarf. Eye of the dragon refers to the fact that I wanted each square to represent an dragon’s eye….kind of like being under the watchful gaze of your very own protector. You can be wrapped warm and safe…my dragon is a nice dragon. :)

The other thing I see this design as being is two hands holding a pearl-that’s pretty mystical as well….but the intent was a dragon eye.

Beginning stages of a design that has been banging around my skull for a bit.

After a start, then restart-I’m going to be demanding a loose cast on-this was the first time I attempted any of these-Quite interesting-I am on a roll now-the pattern seems to be tweaked to where it works and now it is a matter of knitting it before having it tested….

My mama (not the one that is shunning me over the blanket-that one is my birth mom-this one is my step-mom) just had surgery and is staying with me for recovery for at least two weeks-could be as long as five months (lord please no). I am not getting as much knitting done as I thought I would because she is being a little more work than I anticipated. Oh well, such is life.
