I am doing this in the round and have chained 182 so that I have an odd number of 6’s for my chain. I started on doing panels but realized I will NEVER make two of them, I hate sewing things together anyhow so this is making me happy.

Using the C hook it is giving me a nice lacy feel and is working up fairly quickly although a little slow (nature of the beast). I’ve got 4.5 hours into it so far and need about 6 more inches on the body part. I think I might try to add some sort of scallop edging to the base just for fun. :)

Note about the edging: That pattern wasn’t written all that well-if you have lots of experiences guessing and assuming this one isn’t too bad. I was able to guess and assume my way to the finish line, and I LOVE it. The last photo (that is missing my head) is what it looked like prior to blocking.

I gave this 4 out of 5 stars simply because I think it was a lot easier in the round and there are only two rows you need to repeat when you do it that way, so it could be an easier to follow pattern. I also wasn’t a fan of the bottom, I just felt that it ended too abruptly, hence my edging. But overall, this was a great awesometastic pattern!
