Update on pattern: I am so so excited that I figured out a way that I can chart this baby and be happy with the result. I don’t have fancy schmancy software so it took probably a LOT longer than if I had, but that’s OK, one of my favorite things to do in life is find a ‘cheap in money yet not cheap on the result’ way out of things…So now I’m diligently working on the written version and getting two other sizes worked up as well. Moving along nicely, however I still have at least another good 4 hours of computer time on this sucker.
Update to update 11-14-14: DONE! I’ve got it all charted, written and ready to go. I hope to put it up for testing at the beginning of next week!
This is something I am attempting to design. My problem is that I keep changing it up as I go. I have started and restarted four times now. I think I’m finally on the right track of where I am going….The colors are not what I normally use, but I have wanted to do something in these colors since I recently saw Gone With The Wind on the big screen-Melanie has a nifty hat and shawl made in these colors and I liked them together. Of course this style is nothing like hers…because I’m not a paleface mealy-mouthed ninny!
11-7-14: I decided it needs a hood, otherwise I’d be done…But I’m half and half liking this pattern…it is fun to make, not mindless but not too complex…but I think I should have made the grey wedges thinner….But seeing it in a photo I actually like it better….Uggh.
11-10-14 All done…now to get it all written out. I do have it charted already, quite fun actually. :) I would love to see what this looks like all in one color…. Overall, this should be a pretty easy knit. I wanted to give the option of a clothing type item, without getting all complicated with bazaar techniques. There are short rows in this, but they shouldn’t be too complex.
