I love this yarn, us 4.

It isn’t every day I choose the wrong yarn. But when I do I don’t second guess my bad choice, I just run with it. This turned into a Swamp Monster style hat, complete with seaweed lacework on the band and the lovely flipper/fin decoration that wiggles back and forth as you shake your head.

As I was knitting this hat, I was thinking to myself, “You should stop. Pick different yarn. This is terrible. Nobody will want this hat. There is no way this will be a cute hat in the end. This really looks like a Swamp Monster or some really bad Swamp Vomit. Please Stop.” But the stubborn and determined part of me said, “Well you have gone this far, let us see where this journey ends. I always did love that old Swampy style horror movie, this could be your greatest hat ever.”

I think, in the end, we have a lovely combination of the two different voices in my head. It is actually kind of cute on, and I’m glad I kept going. So, now, all the knitters of the world can see what to do (or what not to do depending on your point of view).
