Ya…that was my great grandmother’s real name. Not a joke. She was a very simple woman and probably never would have worn this hat. :)

I actually got this finished today…I still have to weave in my ends and sew down my fan but it’s done. VERY fast knit-I didn’t knit much at all today and I went to my very first knitting group today…and didn’t hardly knit at all-but I did teach an 8 year old how to knit, and she is knitting! YEAH!!!

I still can’t believe how fast this knit was-I’m making another as well because this is such a cute little hat!

In case you are wondering why my fans go different ways on these two hats…it is because I totally screwed up the first one-I thought I was on the RS but was on the WS and wound up making the fan backwards-I thought it was the pattern-but realized it was just me being stupid.

So now I have made hat number three and used the same main color. Would you believe that I used ONE SKEIN for all three hats and I still have enough left to probably make one more!??!! Good god I love this hat!
