Notes

Mods: larger needles to get gauge. I knitted the sleeves to 2” before the lace border, and I blocked the body length to 16” (blocked bust is spot-on for the M size). I’ve picked up the number of neckline sts as per the pattern, but I’ve cast off using a 3.5mm needle: I didn’t want it too stretchy and wide.

A few little things: I thought I’d attempt a Kitchener graft at the shoulders, but this was a major fail… :( it looks much better with the 3-needle graft as suggested by Caitlin. At the ‘shape right shoulder’ stage, the RS/WS rows are a bit muddled up, but I think by that point you really know where you are!

This has turned out really well and I know I’ll wear it a lot: I was worried at one point about MC yardage (which was why I knitted the sleeves slightly shorter), but I came through in the end. And I was slightly worried it may turn out a bit too big in the M size, but really, the drape is perfect! I really dig the yarn: love the Hayton fabric, and adore the Space Dust shade (with all its interesting rainbow speckles) from TUP. Happy!
