I made an XL version of the Antares shawl. It measures 155cm along the upper edge and 40cm in height. I chose beige for a classic garment because this one is for my mom’s birthday this week. I hope this will keep her all warm and cuddled up and stylish at the same time! :)
I added some wooden beads at the outer edge as well. The pattern comes with beading instructions.

This giant version of the shawl I want to offer as a free adition to the pattern.

And here are the instructions:

Set up:
CO 5 sts.
Then k2, kfb, kfb, k1. (=7 sts)

Body:
Then repeat rows 1 and 2 from the pattern 34 times in total, followed by row 1 once more. (=213 sts) Now you’re ready to start the lace on the next RS row.

Lace:
Then knit lace charts as stated in the pattern. (instructions for lace are provided as written instructions as well as charted)

I could also imagine knitting Antares once more in worsted weight yarn for the really cold winter and see how this turns out. I’ll have to think about that… :)
For now I am really happy with the result and hopefully, so will my mom!
