Followed pattern instructions exactly with # of stitches and tubular cast on. The tubular cast on in the pattern is really cool--and different from other cast on instructions online (such as the Purl Bee and Knitty tutorials). How it didn’t unravel when I pulled out the waste yarn cast-on edge is a mystery to me. I will have to figure this out!

Following the advice of many finished projects, I added 1” to the length before starting the decrease rows. Now I kind of regret it, it makes it a little poufy at the top rather than close-fitting. Next time I’ll make it exactly like the pattern says….
