Even though my gauge matched the designer’s, it came out a bit big for me. I sewed a couple of rows of elastic thread into the brim to make it wearable (shout out to the ravelry forums for the tip!). If I was doing it again in the same yarn, I would omit one pattern repeat. No regrets though! I love the cable pattern, and it’ll make a nice warm hat for mild winter days.
