After some color testing and a lot of frogging I decided to make a two colored Color Affection. The tree colors I choose just didn’t match and I wanted to go for a little more graphic shawl.

Some notes:

• I choose to make the dropped YO edge because I got a too tight edge at my first attempt.
• I made Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind-Off, but I feel my bind off mabye is a bit to stretchy? My first knit bind off didn’t work at all and JSSBO is a little too stretchy. A middle way would be nice!

Project thoughts:

• I’m not totally happy with my finished size. The depth of the shawl isn’t correct… I’m trying some heavy blocking to see if it will solve it.
• What’s up with the sagging neck piece? It doesn’t show on the picture when the shawl is flat but the neck piece keeps sagging and when wrapped around shoulders and neck it falls forward like a little turkey neck… :)

I love how the shawl looks in the pattern but I think this hype is a little too hyped?
