4/21/16: i thought i wouldn’t like this box heel but i forced myself to complete the sock, figuring i’d just have to rip it out and redo it after the second one, but i really like it! this circular us00 give me a much smaller gauge than usual, and i like that, too. one skein per sock with no leftovers to speak of. very fiddly to work with, but i can get used to that.

k 37 rnds, dec 1 each end. (70 sts,37rds.)
k 32 rnds, dec 1 each end. (68 sts,67 rds.)
k 20 rnds, dec i each end. (66 sts, 87 rds.)
k 17 rnds or two stripes 1x1 rib on 33sts above heel flap
heel flap on 33 sts. don’t turn heel, just
pu 17 sts. dec 1 each side every other rnd until 68 sts remain
k 68 sts for 7” dec 1 st each end every other row until 24 sts, kitchener.
