3-6-14: Done. When you look up “quick knit” in the dictionary, there is a picture of this hat. It is a seriously quick knit. I like the finished product, although I would consider doing 12-14 rows in the main section of the pattern, rather than the 16 called for if you want a less slouchy hat. I’m pretty happy with it as is. Pictures coming in the morning.

As a fringe benefit, there is just enough yarn leftover to do a contrast cast on for another hat or mittens.

3-4-14: Just a note to anyone knitting this hat in Rasta, the stitches are really too big for my DPNs. This would be much better on longer DPNs or a circular, but I’m too lazy to switch.
