6/20 So excited to make this for my little guy (who loves to make monkey noises)! All of the toys I’ve knit so far from Itty Bitty Toys have been gifts for other kids so far.
Going to use some garage sale vintage worsted wool. It’s knitting up to 5.5 stitches/inch on size 5 needles, so I’ll be scaling up the pattern to maintain proportions. I’m also planning to add a tail and skip the hair. Here we go!

6/22 Head and body done except for face. So far so good on using the worsted weight. He’s just shy of 8” tall when seated.

6/26 Finished! Just in time for to be a half-birthday present for my son. I love how monkey turned out!
For the tail I cast on the same number of stitches as the arms and legs and just knit a longer tube. To make the tail curve, I stitched a running stitch up from the end of the tail up to a couple inches down from the base and pulled it in some before securing.
Besides adjusting for worsted, the only other variations I made were to stuff the limbs and to not add hair.

The last photo is from a trip to the Zoo!
