Notes

Cast on was brutal- took me three days! But despite that, it is going to look really great when it’s finished.

To set up the p2tog tbls (beginning chart A row 14), wrap the yarn the opposite way around the needle to twist the stitches in the ssk and the stitch following it. This will make the stitches ready to be worked on the purl side without twisting them and you don’t have to do the fussy little thing lilygo describes in the directions.

This pattern is like a pint of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream - so many fun and tasty things mixed into it, you can never get bored and you’re so excited to get to the next part that you’ve eaten the whole thing before you know it!

For the central double decreases (beginning row 33 of chart a): doing a sssk will make it slant to the left. For a truly centered decrease, slip 2 stitches together knitwise, knit one, pass the two stitches back over together. The middle stitch should stand out in front.

For the central quadruple decrease (beginning row 11 on chart b): the stitch explanation on the pattern has us doing a decrease that slants to the left. If you want to do a truly centered one, it’s a little fiddly.
Slip three together knitwise, slip 1 back, slip 2 together knitwise, knit 1, then pass 2 over, pass 2 over.
