Notes

Started and restarted the edging what feels like a hundred times!! For a 12-stitch 8-row repeat, it sure did take me a long time to get into the groove of things.

I added a removable stitch marker at the 4th row of each repeat for two reasons.
1: easy counting of repeats and
2: easy blocking. Just slip your blocking wires through the safety pins and voilĂ ! 15 minutes of pinning accomplished in 15 seconds.

But once you get the edging, it goes pretty fast. I finished the edging, picked up the yo loops, and finished the body of the shawl in less than two weeks.

If I made this again (and I might!) I would add a bead to each point. This, I think, would not only add a bit more visual interest, but probably will also help weigh down the points.

The shawl got itself deblocked really quickly. I might even try starching it next time I block it (gotta check with some older wiser knitter before I do that though!)
