I have been wanting to make this lovely shawl ever since I saw this one made by Isabelle…you should check out her projects and her great photography too
I have just recently discovered this yarn and immediately knew it had to be a Harbinger. The colour defines the word for me
- a person or thing that announces or indicates the approach of something; forerunner
Despite all my many Wips I am starting this on Friday because its my birthday :)
3 March: I am halfway through section D - inner stocking stitch square
6 March: 2 rows to go :)
Done! Used a suspended bind off and I am very happy with the amount of stretch.
Time to soak and wash…
I started using the 2 needle sizes as per the pattern but was having an issue with keeping my tension even so I changed to just one needle and then everything was good. The designer gifted me a copy of the pattern using just the one needle. I do hope she releases it into the wild soon
I can see a little flaw in my knitting in the stockinette :( it’s in a very prominent place which is such a shame. I remember loosing the centre markers at one point and having to reknit a few rows..I must have made a mistake when dropping down the stitches…silly me
Anyway I think I will just knit it again as I loved the pattern and the yarn equally. I would also like to knit it using some other stash yarn
I used 5 balls less just 10 yards :)
Pre blocking 62” x 32”
Post blocking 74” x 37”
This yarn is a Botto Poala yarn…I love their yarns and have bought some from Colourmart in the past. This explains why it is so amazingly soft
