I found this pattern a bit awkward to start with because it wasn’t clear to me that the dc and tr stitches always go into another stitch, not into a ch (except where the ch is standing for part of a st at the beginning of a row).

Also, the pattern is totally consistent as long as you realise that the V stitch you are currently making (dc, ch, dc, or at the beginning of a row ch4, dc) at each end of the row is not part of the pattern, nor is the double V you are currently making (dc, ch, dc, ch, dc) at the centre.

Once you’ve got the hang of that, it’s a lovely design and easy to make.

Using two colours for the stripes makes it much easier to see where to put treble and where to put sc stitches.

The Red Panda yarn says “cold, gentle wash”. Cold is apparently 30° C or less. I used up most of the three skeins - there wasn’t enough for another stripe.
