The pattern calls for sc and a picot edging across the top after completing the rest of the shawlette. I decided not to do this because it spoilt the colour changes.

On the bottom edge, I did the little 3 chain loops, then put a picot in each one.

Picot row: ch3, sc in first ch, sl st to next loop.

At the end I had 2gms left.
