turning out too large and the fabric is too loose (with US 6 / 4mm needles), will frog and reknit on smaller needles. will probably only make 7 instead of 14 on each sleeve because this is for a newborn to 3 month baby.

feb 7th: restarted with smaller needles. cast on 52 instead of 50 stitches, cast on much more loosely, remembered to add the first button hole after four rows. put increases on the right side by doing k2, m1p (make 1 purl) on the right side. this seems to hide the increases as much as possible.

feb 13th: on the first sleeve, in the round using magic loop. 7 repeats on each sleeve, and 4 ridges + purl cast off on the border.
