here’s what i did:

provisional cast on 50 stitches

set up:

8 rows: 4 seed k42 4seed

kitchener stitch together

the seed stitch border sort of curls under, but i like it. cast on 48 stitches instead of 50 since i had 2 extra stitches, or seed stitch that last stitch in. this is a no purl cable pattern, a sort of a basket stitch cable pattern i just threw together.

the yarn is a mohair/merino hand-dyed commercial spun 3 ply aran weight, local to marin county, california.
