tip on the nupps: instead of purling 7 together, slip 5 to the right needle purlwise, purl 2 together from the left needle, then on the right needle, slip 2 over, slip 2 more over, slip 1 more over.

used all but a few meters of the yarn.

feb 27th: done + drying on the blocking foam.

feb 26th: had to rip back to my lifeline at 20 and knit 21st repeat again, 22 was too much, not enough for two border pieces.

feb 25th: 22 pattern repeats, looks like there might be enough for the two end border pieces.

feb 22nd: 10 pattern repeats done, at the very end of the first skein.

feb 21st: made a calculation that it takes 4 grams to do one full repeat. have 5 full repeats done, and at that rate, my entire scarf will be 22 or 23 repeats long, which means quite short. well hopefully i am completely wrong and hopefully it blocks out like crazy.

feb 16th: got pointier needles in 3mm!

feb 9th: after going down a needle size to 3mm, figured i needed some freaking pointier nup-friendly circs. ordered some knitpicks one-pieces that i like so much in 2.75 and 3. waiting for needles to arrive before proceeding.

for some light blue laceweight.

feb 1: cast on, did one repeat with 3.5mm needles, but it’s turning out way too wide and the stitches are too big in the stockinette portion. sheesh i am a loose knitter! :) will try again with 3’s.
